I wouldn’t have been surprised had the headline read Boy Scouts Face Attraction from (fill in the blank) Archbishop – we all know that story well enough.
But the girls scouts? The bishop wants to come down on the Girl Scouts? Come on! Aren’t there at least three million other things this pompous man could be directing his attention to?
Archbishop Robert J. Carlson is opposed to the Girl Scouts because they favor transgender rights and homosexuality says the Times. CNN adds that the bishop's letter attacks the Girl Scouts for supporting Amnesty International.
Amnesty International? Who in their right mind doesn’t support them?
Luckily the power of this hate-mongering, homophobic, growth-opposing, all-male rich boys club has waned dramatically over the years. Could it possibly be because they think eating Girl Scout cookies is a sin?
